I replaced the control pad on my 2000R and gained Bluetooth capability through the Velit app. Works great.
My unit was working pretty decent until it stopped working. The EF code has something to do with the fans not working properly. I'm hoping this warranty lives up to it.
It arrived packaged well , its lighter than our old one , very easy to install , support do respond but the delay because the support is in America is frustrating! As they ship in England would be useful to have support available in the UK , have only tested the install but it appears okay
The first air conditioner I bought was a Chinese air conditioner that was simply bad,
Upon trying to get service, I learned that there is no serious body that provides support. In fact, as soon as you encounter a problem, you have to replace the entire air conditioner...
A year ago, I bought the air conditioner “Velit 2000R Mini Rooftop Air Conditioner 12V”. The installation is very simple and I immediately noticed the high quality of the product. It provides good cooling and very economical electricity consumption. At 10 o'clock at night when the temperature outside is 77 degrees and 85 percent humidity, the air conditioner maintains the cooling that I set on the thermostat at 71 degrees and 46 percent humidity.
During this period of time, the air conditioner consumes an average of 20 amps per hour.
In addition, I am glad that this air conditioner has the backing of an American company and the difference in investment was right

Recently camped for 3 days with 104-degree heat. The A/C worked better than expected. I didn't think the A/C would run on my batteries all night. We had it set on eco mode at 66 degrees, and to our surprise, the A/C used very little electricity while keeping us cool.
Had multiple units of the 2000u models break repeatedly with the same error codes — E3 blocked rotor. Stay away from Chinese junk
I purchased the Velit 2000R with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Right out of the box, the unit came with a defective condenser fan — a critical component that prevents the air conditioner from working at all. After contacting customer service, I was told it would take about a month to receive a replacement fan.
This timeline is unacceptable. I have a two-week trip planned in the coming days, traveling with two dogs, and was relying on this AC unit to keep them safe and comfortable. Now I’m left scrambling for alternatives because of a faulty product and a very slow support process.
For a premium-priced unit, I expected much better quality control and customer service. I strongly urge Velit to reconsider how they handle warranty issues and replacement parts. At the very least, they should offer expedited shipping or an interim solution when the product is dead on arrival.
Buyer beware — if something goes wrong, you could be waiting a long time for a fix.

Ordered and received the Velit 2000R 12 volt after watching comparison videos on YouTube. I have a 2021 Coachmen Galleria that came with a Premier 12v air conditioner which absolutely doesn’t adequately cool the van while traveling through the Arizona and Texas deserts. Installed the Velit with no problems then went on our trip through the desert. Now a much happier camper able to sleep better with a/c that works so much better in spite of a lower btu rating than before. When the temps are over 100 this Velit can’t cool the entire van but sleep is good since it is installed over the bed and the cool air is very nice even if the rest of the space is warmer. It came packed very well and quality seems top notch. I would have liked to have the 24v version of this with a higher btu but I couldn’t easily convert to 24v. I’m still a happy camper
looks great, instructions well written. Won't have time to install until next week.
Not a huge fan of a foam gasket for waterproofing the cut out hole. Much prefer the rubber sealant. To install this crossbars are used along with bolts to provide tension on that foam gasket. Instructions say to tighten the bolts to five Newton meters before five Newton meters the nut which is embedded into the units plastic came out. I had to glue it back in and make sure not to get anywhere close to the five Newton meters so it didn’t rip out again. Makes me question some of the quality control and why these bolts are plastic welded into the unit. Finally, after spreading over how tight these bolts were, it was time to put on the final Cowell. The holes and the cow did not line up well with the cross bars in which they are supposed to be bolted. I get that there is some leeway and some wiggle room, depending on where those cross bars land on the inside the van. But seeing as they come out of some straight bolts. It shouldn’t be that big of an issue. The holes for the cow not lining up with their corresponding. Both holes meant that the screws did not go in properly. Not only that the screws and the threads and the cross bars didn’t match. The screws were much too large, and would either require me, forcing them in in which case many of them just stripped. In the end, I had to go source my own bolts to finish the installation. When bolts don’t even match their corresponding threads for installation, I see a huge quality control issue. I also really don’t like that. Both connectors are popping out because they were simply welded into plastic instead of being more secure.
So I got my Velit 2000U and installed it. It was great until I accidentally reversed the polarity and let the smoke out of the electronics. I emailed Velit and got good support even though always a day later due to time difference. They helped me through a solution and I am back in business. Great little unit and the support was good. My problem was self induced... ;(
I placed an order for the Portable Heater kit with the detachable 1 gallon fuel can. I received a box full of parts. I contacted Velit and they responded instantly with a return shipping label. Since then I have made several inquiries as to where my actual order is and I have been given anywhere from one week to one month on expected delivery time, often taking several days to respond. I ordered the heater back on February 20th and have yet to receive my order on May 15th. Looking forward to getting the item that I ordered however…
I was a little nervous installing this on my 2001 Campulance. The installation was easy and went faster than I thought it would. The hardest part was cutting the hole in my roof. It’s been up for a few weeks now and no leaks. Have not had a chance to really try it out but it blows cold and it is really quiet in the eco mode. Can’t wait to get out and use this once I finish my build. My only complaint was the size of the plug at the unit. There wasn’t much room to tuck it up so the beauty ring can go on but I think it will work fine.

I’ve had problems with my heater, but discovered it was related to connectors on my fuel tank and not the heater itself. Once I figured the issue out and made a modification to the fuel system, my heater is working properly. Velit customer support has been amazing through this process including sending me a second heater, which I used to troubleshoot the fuel system issue. They never left me hanging and always responded. This review would be an easy 5 if not for the fuel system issue. To date I have tested the heater on three occasions post fuel connector bypass and it ran steadily producing good for an hour each test. Soon, I hope to use it in my boat in a real world situation.
Hi Richard, we apologize for the convenience and will do our best to make things right. A replacement unit has been sent out to you. Please let us know how that goes.
Installed on my semi truck, very quiet, cools very nice. I realize it wasn't made for what I am using it for but power plug in very poor spot. Otherwise very happy.
Got the heater hooked up and working. Shipping time was ok. Instructions were not so great. Thanks to you tube in making the install easier. The heater was easy to prime and get working. My van now has a good heater I’m hoping will last for years.
Ordering, delivery and installation all went great. We have used the heater a few times so far and we are very pleased with the product.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to add a heater.
Five star unit and five star service. It is a very well thought out kit, I would buy it again. Thank you!
Installed this gasoline heater under the passenger seat of my Ford Transit. Not an easy install, but good resources are available on YouTube for similar heater installation. I used the included Aux fuel adapter for Ford and it snapped right on top of the port easily. In early use (around 6,000 ft elevation) this seems to work fine, but I am worried that it may be problematic at altitude. If so, I'll install the narrow dip tube that was also included (but more complicated to install). I found the exhaust pipe too short to reach the edge of the van and had to buy a small extension. I also bought some fiberglass / silicon heat shield to protect the plastic fuel line where it crosses over the van's exhaust / catalytic converter - so you may want to purchase those items ahead of time since it would be a pain to add them later if you're doing a similar install. They were inexpensive and would have been nice to have with the heater. Operation was pretty straight forward and the Bluetooth app works really well. One glitch seemed to happen when I set a temp on the thermostat and then adjusted it on the app. The heater reached the desired temp fairly quickly, but just kept running. The inside temp on the thermostat seemed to indicate the set temp, but after running continuously it felt a lot hotter in the van. This was resolved by powering the heater off and then back on again. After that the heater operated as expected where it would hit the set temp and then cool down,, then shut off. I also wanted to set the temp low to sleep, then higher when I wake up at a set time. However, it seems like the early morning start feature only works when the heater is in the off position. So that wasn't quite what I hoped for; but I may not be fully aware of the capabilities.
Won’t be able to have the time to install it for another 2 months.
I’ve been using this velit heater for two years now in our Transit High Roof. It replaced two other common brands that would never start at altitude. We use the heater constantly above 10000 feet at the ski areas. This year it kept us warm on a -27 degree stretch in Fraser Colorado. Great heater. Reliable and always works.
I recently installed the Velit Diesel Heater in my Sprinter Van conversion, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The unit itself is incredibly powerful and heats up the van quickly and efficiently.
What truly impressed me was the value proposition. The heater is surprisingly affordable, considering its performance and the included components. The kit comes with everything you need, including the fuel tap assembly, which was well-designed and included all the necessary fittings.
The mobile app is a fantastic addition, allowing me to control the heater remotely (within Bluetooth range) and schedule heating cycles in advance. This is incredibly convenient, especially when I'm preparing for overnight stays or want to ensure the van is warm when I want it to be.
The built-in CO2 detector is an excellent safety feature that provides peace of mind.
Overall, I highly recommend the Velit Diesel Heater to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable heating solution for their van, RV, or other off-grid applications.
The unit itself seems great, but the included hardware should be better. Should have stainless screws and nylon lock nuts, stainless rubber lined hangers, one more section of exhaust tubing. There should also be an included gasket for the mounting plate to floor surface, not just a gasket for the heater to mounting plate. Lastly the fuel pump is loud, much louder than my friends webasto...
For those who are installing, when cutting the stand pipe to length, make sure you have the fuel pump assembly compressed so you get the length correct, you'll know if it isn't because it makes re assembly very hard and probably why many people have a hard time re assembling. use a lock nut and washer on it so it can't work it's way loose. if you are installing under passenger seat, you will be using the mounting plate, so can make a healthy sized hole for the intake exhaust and the bolts attaching the heater to the plate. I installed mine on my transit towards the drivers seat not the passenger side door like most people do. It works but is tight and requires precises pre-bending the exhaust to get by the exhaust heatshield. I used some silicone sealant to create a seal on the mounting plate to the van floor. I routed the exhaust to a space just between the sliding door and passenger door. seems fine for exhaust and not getting sucked into the van. there is also a nice tight space to jam the intake up on the back side of the jack storage area. 1/4 fuel line is perfect size for protecting the included fuel line. I used a section of 3/8 fuel line from the fuel pump to the heater that can also protect the fuel pump wires. I have the fuel pump mounted an untapped m6 or m8 rivnut by the stairwell (get a cheap tapping kit so you can make use of all the untapped rivnuts on the van, also having a rivnut kit makes installing much better), this location makes for a nice pump spot and can keep a steady upward angle to the heater. I installed the fuel filter to the outside of the fiberglass fuel tank cover (wear a mask fiber gets everywhere), it makes a nice union spot so you can reinstall the fuel tank, then be able to connect the fuel line. good luck, takes forever your first go, but bet I could do it in an hour or so now.
