If your rig has a plastic fuel tank where contamination and particles are less likely, it is recommended to avoid using a fuel filter for better performance and reliability. Fuel filters are primarily required for metal tanks or tanks with known contaminants or particles inside. Otherwise, we've tested and seen better fuel delivery and efficiency with the fuel filter removed from the inherently weak vacuum side of the fuel lines.
