Velit Heating & Cooling Customer Support

At Velit, we are one of the only heating and cooling companies for campers that directly provides technical support to our customers. We also stock parts and directly supply them to our customers, typically at cost, much different than other companies who aim to profit off parts. Our shared goal is to keep your heating and cooling products running reliably as you need and expect.

Heater or AC Unit Not Working?

We have technical support engineers who are available to provide 1-on-1 support should you need it. We have a process similar to a visit at the doctors office. We require customers in need of technical support to fill out a support intake questionnaire that provides our engineers the specific information needed to efficiently provide solutions to the issues you may be having with our products.

We recommend reading our heater technical support FAQ on this page prior to submitting the form.

Heater Support Request

Most often there is nothing wrong with the heater components but rather small hurdles with installation that our team is very effective at solving quickly when provided the right information. Filling out the linked form in entirety is the key to recieving the best support from our heater experts.

Air Conditioner Support Request

Our AC units are extremely reliable based on what we see in support. In order to most efficiently get your unit working as you need we require you submit specific information so that our technical support team can accurately diagnose and quickly resolve the issues you may have.

Velit Heater & AC Parts

Our goal with parts is to keep your units running reliably, not to make money selling parts you do not need. Historically, the components in our units do not need replacement but we do stock critical proprietary parts when needed for our customers. Many parts are standardized for the types of units we sell and can be sourced faster and more affordably on sites that sell gasoline/diesel heater parts or even Amazon.

Velit Heater FAQs

How come I can’t clear error codes without resetting the power/fuse to my heater?

The first troubleshooting step with any heater issue is to pull the fuse or reset the power for 15+ seconds, then re-add power to reset the heater. Error codes CANNOT be cleared with the phone app or thermostat controller; a power reset is required, and this is a safety feature.

Why is my brand new heater giving me Error 01 or Error 02 codes?

This is almost always related to issues with fuel delivery. Be very careful if using the prime feature that you do not over-prime the heater. On initial install, the heater may give Error01 codes as fuel has not yet reached the heater, so pull the fuse and attempt to start again, and it should fire on the second or third attempt once fuel reaches the heater.

Why was my heater working but now I am getting Error 01 and/or Error 02 codes?

If you heater was running but now you are getting Error 01 or Error 02 the first thing to do is check your fuel line for air bubbles. If you are getting streams of bubbles then you need to repair your fuel li9ne so the system is sealed

Should I update the firmware on my heater?

If the heater is otherwise working reliably, we recommend NOT updating the firmware on the heater. If it is asking for a code from support to do the update and the heater is otherwise working, you likely do not need an update. If the heater is not working and it requires a code to update, fill out the heater support request form on this page.

Should I install the provided metal standpipe in my fuel tank or is it ok to use the factory AUX fuel port on my van?

Standpipe guarantees the best performance. However, we do have a lot of customers using the auxiliary fuel port with no issues. I would recommend installing the stand pipe if you know that you are going to spend extensive time at 8000ft+. Otherwise, you can try the auxiliary fuel port first, and if you experience trouble at high elevation or constant losing prime, then install the standpipe.

Why does my fuel pump only show 8 or 9 volts at the power connection?

This is normal. That pump is designed to run on a lower voltage. Rather, check the brown wire connector on the fuel pump if you are having fuel pump issues.
